Capcom has confirmed that it will be unveiling a fourth new character for the upcoming Street Fighter IV via the character section on its official website on May 30.

In addition to the above, the publisher also said that it would be lifting the lid on the final boss of the game that very same day, which will also presumably be accessed on the official website.

Capcom will be hosting its CAPTIVATE 08 event later today, which is expected to reveal new information on several upcoming projects including Bionic Commando and Resident Evil 5.

Earlier today, the publisher finally disclosed plans to release Street Fighter IV on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 at some point in the future, with the arcade version debuting this summer.

Stay tuned.

UPDATE:

The latest issue of Famitsu magazine includes the first images of new boss character, Seth, CEO of Shadowloo's Weapons Division. Also confirmed for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game are Fei Long and Dan.

Stay tuned for more information on May 30, when Capcom updates with their own coverage as previously stated.

This reminds me of Fred Thompson's announcement that he was planning on announcing his candidacy the following week. How slow of a news day is this, seriously?

i mean cmon, why do ppl keep hyping this game up? it doesnt look good, and SCIV will be much better, everytime a small update on the game comes out, this site makes it out to be huge new, i agree with the previous post when he/she said, "how slow of a news day is this anyway?" and the Fred Thompson things was hilarious lol

You think SC4 will be better than this??? LOL. I don't think this game is getting enough hype to be honest. The days of fighting games is making a comeback, and this game staying true to it's roots is a breath of fresh air, in a genre devised almost exclusively of crappy 3d'ers (tekken excluded). There is a huge following of 2d fighters, because they are just different games completely, and the mechanics are just classic. If your not excited about this game, you must be too young to remember the days when these fighters ruled. It really is a welcomed title to the PS3's LACKLUSTER library. I also noticed some people don't think this game looks that great. Well, graphics are a small piece of the puzzle, its always a nice feature, but gameplay is always more important, and the style they are going with suits the franchise perfectly. You should definately appreciate hand drawn characters and envrionments, and the finely tuned game mechanics and stop whining about how it doesn't looks as "next gen" as SC4.
